Our Capstan Series is a different kind of Anchor Winch: a vertical, under-deck mounted winch where anchor line or pot line wraps around a rotating capstan head instead of spooling onto a drum. Line length is not limited by drum capacity, and the same winch handles anchor retrieval or hauling pots and traps equally well.

Every Capstan winch shares the same 1100W marine-grade sealed motor and 485 lb max pull, plus an included footswitch and marine-grade circuit breaker. The only choice is the finish: full 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance, or a durable epoxy-coated body for the same power at a lower cost.
